College topper for her Bachelor’s degree in Arts, majoring in English Literature, Sindhu surprised her professors by choosing to go on to hotel school instead of teaching as they expected, and banking, as her father hoped.

Graduating with an offer to join the luxury hotel giant where she was interning, Sindhu then had a short but successful stint in hospitality before moving to the aviation industry. Working with different airline companies and then as a counsellor in a software tech major, marriage and children put her corporate career on hold till recently.

With her two daughters in university now, Sindhu is back to doing what she loves; guiding and supporting young professionals in achieving their career goals, while brushing up her spoken Korean watching K-drama series.

Changemaker with a passion, she plays a critical role in BhuME, a women's collective that up-cycles textile waste into children’s soft toys and other products, preventing this from being burnt or dumped in landfills, while also helping reduce the sale and use of toxic plastic toys. BhuMe, meaning earth, receives funding from the United Nations Development Program, the Kerala Start Up Mission, and Haritha Kerala’s Green Innovation Fund Project and focuses on building a circular economy, generating employment for various women’s self-help groups.

At EasyChair Hospitality, Sindhu equally capably handles the back office, directing, and controlling the various administrative functions that allow her colleagues to focus on hotel operations.
